“Education, Support, Action”
The ABI Learning Network FNQ is a networking and educational group based in Far North QLD for paid and unpaid carers for people with ABI and interested professionals, parents, partners, disability support workers, and health and community service workers. The network is supported by the Brain Injury Association of Qld (BIAQ) & HACC, and facilitated by White Crane Dreaming.
The Network was launched on the 25th of March 2009 out of the need for more support for people with an Acquired Brain Injury and their families living in Far North QLD. The Network is facilitated by a family carer/social worker and is supported by BIAQ through the provision of HACC funding.
Past Training Events:
- Workshop “Understanding Complex and Challenging Behaviour” by BIAQ’s Behaviour Consultancy Service
- Workshop by Franca Butera-Prinzi, social worker and family therapist with the ABI Family Support Program at Melbourne’s Bouverie Centre.
